The Original Michael Myers Mask Hasn’t Aged Very Well

The writers at Michael-Myers.net are pretty into the Halloween movies. Huh. Go figure. Well, so they’ve tracked down the mask that was used in Halloween parts I & II. An interview with current owner Mark Roberts, a sort of haunted house empresario, revealed that he had purchased the mask from Dick Warlock (perfect name!), the actor who played Myers in the second film.

Roberts says that the mask was never restored, and looking at the thing, you tend to believe the guy. Check it out:

Well, then. From the interview:

When Dick came to the haunt, he was mad at his agent because he said he does not wear the costume for appearances. He did tell me that he still had the costume, boots, mask, butcher knife and scalpel and that he would sell it; he just didn’t bring them out for appearances.
