Omnics Take Over King’s Row In New Overwatch Comic

A panel from the latest comic

A new Overwatch comic has been released, which gives important background information on both the Omnics and some of Overwatch’s most popular heroes.

The comic is twelve pages long and is credited as being created by Michael Chu and Gary Shuko.

You can view the new comic here, and read up on some of the events that happened at King’s Row, which helped to shape some of Overwatch’s most popular heroes. We also gain some information about Omnics and the Omnic War, and get to see Tracer defending her home and struggling with the reality of her work.

We won’t spoil anything here (so go read the comic!) but we’re really hoping to see some new skins added in game now (there’s some #looks throughout) and if all of this new characterisation might be linked to the as-of-yet unreleased twenty fifth hero, which Overwatch’s director Jeff Kaplan has claimed is very far along in the development stages, and may be released sooner than a lot of players assumed they might be. The next release looks as if it’ll be quite story/lore heavy, which is exciting considering that most of the releases have been based around either balance changes or new customisation options.
