Official Trailer for Stephen King’s In The Tall Grass Makes Us Want To Buy A Lawnmower

The Stephen King Renaissance is truly upon us.

Netflix has just released the official trailer for In The Tall Grass, warning us never to go frolicking into fields with grass that tall. The movie is an adaptation of the novella written by Stephen King and his son Joe Hill, where we see siblings Cal and Becky head into the tall (this must be constantly emphasized) grass because they heard a young boy crying for help. What could possibly go wrong?

The grass disorientates and separates them, and they are joined by others, who came into the grass because they were looking for someone as well. The film stars Patrick Wilson (who is just a horror veteran at this point), Rachel Wilson, Laysla De Oliveira and Avery Whitted.

2019 has been the year of Stephen King adaptations, with IT Chapter Two released just a few weeks ago and Doctor Sleep (sequel to The Shining) coming in November. Netflix has adapted another one of King’s works before, with Gerald’s Game in 2017, and knocked it right out of the park.

The movie has a stellar 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes. But I guess you can’t go wrong with a director like Mike Flanagan (Hush, The Haunting Of Hill House) and Carla Gugino (The Haunting Of Hill House) in the leading role. Hopefully In The Tall Grass can deliver a product in the same league.

In The Tall Grass is released on Netflix October 4th, 2019.
