Universal Pictures has just released the official trailer for No Time To Die, after releasing a teaser trailer to tease the arrival of the official trailer. Not sure that was needed, but in a week with Marvel releasing the teaser trailer for Black Widow, a little more hype can’t be a bad thing.
This is looking to be the best Bond movie Craig has churned out thus far, pulling out all the stops in stunt work (the motorcycle jump is truly a thing of beauty) as well as serving gorgeous visuals. The cast is a stacked one too, with Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harries resuming their roles as M, Q and Moneypenny, and Lashana Lynch as Nomi, a new agent giving Bond a run for his money.
Léa Seydoux returns as Bond’s love interest Madeleine Swann, and the trailer seems to be suggesting that she betrays Bond. I do think this is a red herring, since we already received a similar plotline before in Casino Royale with Vesper Lynd – but who knows? Maybe Bond is destined to be betrayed by any woman he truly loves.
Rami Malek as the new Bond villain is what I am most looking forward to – they even messed up his face to make him look more menacing. Only time will tell if he can best the efforts of the previous Bond villains Craig’s James Bond has gone up against. No Time To Die will be released in theatres April 2nd, 2020.
