NXT Confirmed For Download Festival 2018 In June

NXT Download

What seems to be becoming an annual tradition for NXT is the trip to the UK’s Donington Park for the yearly Download Festival. This year is no different, as WWE confirmed today that the developmental stars shall be putting on another three huge shows over the weekend.

Metalheads attending from June 8th – 10th will be glad to hear that the likes of Aleister Black, Ricochet, Kairi Sane and Adam Cole (Baybay) have been confirmed, alongside a few over familiar faces. If last year’s was anything to go by, then expect NXT to pull out all the stops to put on three very different nights of action to pull you away from what you’re actually there to see. Last year saw Pete Dunne and Mark Andrews steal the weekend by taking their feud for the UK title outside of the tent and onto the stage, following Mandrews’ performance with Junior.

For those wanting to overthink with me, the marketing suggests that a few current headliners might be missing the event. Current NXT Champion Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas, SAnitY’s Eric Young and Killian Dain, Ember Moon and The Authors of Pain are all mysteriously AWOL from the poster. Perhaps this is further confirmation of post-Takeover plans, or perhaps I’m speculating a little too much. Either way, the card is bound to be stacked.

Tickets for Download Festival are on sale now.
