NXT is returning for another tour of the UK this June‭. ‬After last year’s welcomed addition to WWE’s annual rounds,‭ ‬which saw the anticipated debut of current NXT Champion Bobby Roode,‭ ‬the NXT brand shall be putting on four shows,‭ ‬as well as making another appearance at the Download Festival at Donington Park.‭

The confirmed dates so far are:

Monday,‭ ‬June‭ ‬5th‭ ‬-‭ ‬Aberdeen GE Oil and Gas Arena

Tuesday,‭ ‬June‭ ‬6th‭ ‬-‭ ‬Manchester Arena

Wednesday,‭ ‬June‭ ‬7th‭ ‬-‭ ‬Leeds First Direct Arena

Thursday,‭ ‬June‭ ‬8th‭ ‬-‭ ‬Brighton Centre

Friday-Sunday,‭ ‬June‭ ‬9th-11th‭ ‬-‭ ‬Download Festival

The promotional material suggests that the current line-up includes:‭ ‬Bobby Roode,‭ ‬Asuka,‭ ‬Tye Dillinger,‭ ‬Kassius Ohno,‭ ‬SAnitY and Aleister Black‭ (‬The UK’s Tommy End‭)‬.‭ ‬Of course,‭ ‬more names are likely to be joining them,‭ ‬but so far that looks like a stacked card‭! ‬However,‭ ‬a certain King of Strong Style seems to be missing from the current marketing.‭ ‬Could this suggest an impending debut on the main roster following TakeOver:‭ ‬Orlando‭?

NXT has arguably been fighting through its biggest slump period since the loss of Finn Balor,‭ ‬Samoa Joe and Sami Zayn.‭ ‬Losing Nakamura on the eve of its second UK tour could damage its momentum even more.‭ ‬Although,‭ ‬judging by the faces that are being used to draw crowds for the June shows,‭ ‬it seems like NXT are building to a new main-event scene,‭ ‬bringing the likes of Tye Dillinger and Eric Young out of the mid-card and into the blockbuster matches.‭ ‬I can only see Kassius Ohno and Aleister Black becoming even bigger stars going forward this year,‭ ‬despite newer fans awaiting exposure to their wrestling ability.‭ ‬They seem confident enough to use them to sell tickets for the upcoming tour at the very least.‭

I’d also put my money on a few familiar faces from the WWE UK Championship scene making an appearance for these shows.‭ ‬Tyler Bate,‭ ‬Pete Dunne,‭ ‬Trent Severn and more have already been confirmed to be taking part in the main roster’s tour of the UK following Wrestlemania.‭ P‬resuming the working relationships between WWE and the various UK indies persists,‭ ‬they should definitely have a presence within this NXT tour as well.

Tickets for the aforementioned dates go on sale this Friday.‭ ‬Will you be attending‭?
