If you’ve been waiting patiently to punch your way to the top of the gang pile or to unleash some satisfyingly chaotic first-person action, today’s your lucky day: November 6th marks the new PlayStation Plus games becoming available to download.
The marquee act is Yakuza Kiwami, which is a full-bodied remake of the original Yakuza game. If you’re completely unfamiliar with the franchise, this is a good jumping on point, though you may actually be best served trying out Yakuza 0 first instead. Still, if it’s karaoke and fisticuffs you want, Kiwami has what you need.
The arguable marquee act for November 2018 on PlayStation Plus is Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. A (rather basic) remaster of the PS3 cult classic, you won’t find a better excuse to play one of the most underrated FPS games going. I have some very fond and largely ludicrous memories of this one that I can’t wait to rediscover.
The lineup in full, which even includes a decent selection for the Vita for a change:
– Yakuza Kiwami (PS4) – Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition (PS4) – Jackbox Party Pack 2 (PS3) – Arkedo Series (PS3) – Burly Men At Sea (PS Vita + PS4) – Roundabout (PS Vita + PS4)
So that’s four “free” PS4 games in total, which is not a bad deal at all. Remember that you have to remain a subscriber to PlayStation Plus to access these titles, so they aren’t technically free. Seeing as how you need a Plus subscription to play the majority of online games on PS4, it’s a pretty welcome bonus to have.
Bear in mind that these offerings tend to update depending on your region. Whereas European players are bound to receive them by noon their time, other regions may be different. Just keep checking the special PlayStation Plus panel from your dashboard or searching the titles on the PlayStation Store until they are refreshed.
All of these games will be available from November 6th until December 4th; the first Tuesday of each month is traditionally when the PlayStation Plus games get refreshed.
