NJPW’s United Empire Stars Debut On AEW Dynamite

Oh hey Jeff.

With the looming AEW X NJPW event looming, New Japan Pro Wrestling threw the first stones as part of this week’s 3rd anniversary of AEW Dynamite. United Empire’s Jeff Cobb and Great O’Kharn made an impact by interfering during the ROH Tag title match between FTR and Roppongi Vice, assaulting both teams and laying out Trent with a huge table spot.

Cobb & Kharn made their intentions pretty clear by holding up the ROH titles after the attack, signalling that they’ll be future challengers for FTR to conquer in the coming weeks, maybe even at Double or Nothing.

Other United Empire stars like Aussie Open, Aaron Henrae and Will Ospreay were all MIA for this invasion, however this isn’t to say that they won’t be appearing as part of Forbidden Door in June. In the meantime, it’s great to see the United Empire stable starting to get extra exposure as part of AEW Dynamite.

Elsewhere on the card, Wardlow earned his spot to face MJF at Double or Nothing in a Steel Cage match and both Samoa Joe and Dr. Britt Baker advanced into the finals of their respective Owen Hart Foundation tournament matches.
