Nippon Marathon Developers Reveal Action-RPG UEDI: Shadow Of The Citadel

This looks pretty rad, actually.

UEDI

Nippon Marathon developers Onion Soup Interactive have revealed their next game, an ambitious action-RPG called UEDI: Shadow of the Citadel, which is scheduled to launch on Steam Early Access in Q1 2021. Check out the debut trailer below.

UEDI: Shadow of the Citadel puts you in the shoes of the titular UEDI (which is pronounced Weddy, if you’re wondering), a bold reporter exploring a planet placed on a lockdown by the dictator Hazuki. While searching for her lost friend, and the reasoning behind Hazuki’s actions, she’ll join the resistance movement and find herself in over her head, but over time she’ll learn the skills she needs to survive.

Shadow of the Citadel will contain around 15 miles² of anime inspired open world to explore, where you can loot and gather supplies to keep yourself in tip-top shape. You can engage in “real-time combat”, upgrade your NanoSuit and abilities, solve puzzles and fight bosses. You can also document Hazuki’s World through photographs to capture the reality of life under Hazuki’s oppressive reign.

While it won’t be released for a while yet, UEDI: Shadow of the Citadel is already a mile away from Onion Soup’s previous game Nippon Marathon, but this ambitious title could be something special. Are you interested in UEDI: Shadow of the Citadel? Let us know in the comments.
