Nippon Marathon Developers Donating Game’s Profits To Help Australian Wildlife

A brilliant gesture.

Nippon Marathon

Nippon Marathon developers Onion Soup Interactive have announced that they will donating all profits received from the game’s sale on Steam for the next week to help preserve the wildlife affected by the catastrophic bushfires currently plaguing Australia.

All profits generated from the game’s sale on Steam between January 7th and January 14th will be donated to the charity WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information Rescue And Education Service), who “actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same.“ An estimated half a billion animals killed by the fire, so it’s clear that Australia could use all of our help.

In a press release regarding the announcement, Onion Soup Interactive’s Community Manager Amy Madin said: “It’s sad to see what’s happening in Australia. It’s sad to see homes destroyed, livelihoods ruined and animals dying from the fires. We must protect the wildlife, with fires destroying lands the size of Scotland, they cannot survive without our help.”

If you’d like to help out, you can purchase Nippon Marathon on Steam from tomorrow, or you can simply just donate to WIRES directly via their official website. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
