Nikki Cross Replaces Alexa Bliss In Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match

Nikki gets to play with some ladders.

A last minute substitute in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match comes after an unfortunate injury from Alexa Bliss. Luckily, the WWE women’s division is stacked to the point where a handful of superstars could be drafted in as substitute, WWE have chosen Nikki Cross to take her place.

The former ‘little sister’ of NXT has been loitering around on both Raw and SmackDown looking for a permanent home, occasionally getting involved in multi-women tag matches but never being tied into any storylines. Last week on Raw, Nikki was seen backstage with Alexa Bliss, apparently hiding her luggage somewhere backstage. Cross found herself competing the same night, confirming her place on the Monday Night Raw roster.

It’s great to see Cross finally be given something to work with. Even if it has come about in an untimely way, Cross has a lot to gain from being included in the Money in the Bank match. She can finally establish herself as an exciting addition to the roster and potentially even find herself inserted into the title picture a lot sooner than anyone expected.
