WWE announced via social media that ‘The Goddess’ Alexa Bliss will not be able to compete in the upcoming women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Bliss, who won last year’s women’s ladder match, was going into this match as one of the favourites. Unfortunately for her, she will have to sit this one out on the sidelines.
Alexa suffered with various injuries earlier on in the year, which we can only assume is the reason she hasn’t been cleared for the ladder match. WWE have stated that a suitable replacement will be drafted in in her stead. With a stacked women’s division in the waiting, not only on the main roster but also in the NXT and NXT UK locker rooms, this could lead to a very interesting development at Sunday’s pay-per-view.
