Nier

It was announced by Square Enix over the weekend that Nier: Replicant would be receiving a new remaster for PS4, Xbox One and Steam, in celebration of the series’ 10th anniversary. You can check out the announcement trailer for yourself below.

Developed in collaboration with Toylogic, Nier: Replicant ver.1.22474487139… (yes, that’s the full name they’re going with) will see players embark on a quest as a young boy to cure their sister of a deadly affliction. A prequel to the events of Automata, Replicant was the version of the first Nier game that launched in Japan exclusively, while the Western version, Gestalt, replaced the protagonist with a father searching for a cure for his daughter.

The new version of Replicant will include new voice over work, new and re-recorded music from the series composer Keiicher Okabe, along with the possibility of a brand new ending. With the recent news that Nier: Automata would also be making its way to Xbox Game Pass on April 2nd, there’s never been a better time to experience the world of Nier.
