New Resident Evil Game To Be Revealed On September 9th

Gameplay reveal set for Tokyo Game Show.

Resident Evil

Capcom have announced that they will be revealing the latest Resident Evil project on September 9th. Referred to as Project Resistance, this new game in the series will then be featured at Tokyo Game Show a few days later, with attendees able to experience the game for themselves. According to the official website, the game is set to launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.

The trailer is scheduled to go live at 4pm BST on September 9th, with a placeholder premiere already live right here. Naturally, people have found a way to exploit the YouTube Premiere system to grab some choice thumbnails from the actual trailer and post them on Reddit. Gaming insider Nibel collated some higher quality versions of said screenshots, which you can see below.

Project Resistance appears to have a “regular people try to survive the apocalypse” vibe, which has led many to believe that the new game will be similar in vein to the ahead of its time co-op adventure Resident Evil: Outbreak. Let’s just hope it’s nothing like Operation: Raccoon City. Either way, we’ll find out more details when the announcement goes live on September 9th. Are you excited? Sound off in the comments.
