During TGS 2019, Arc System Works revealed another small trailer for their latest entry in the Guilty Gear series, which either currently doesn’t have a name or is just being called Guilty Gear. Regardless, here’s a minute of series mainstays Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske kicking the snot out of each other.
Yeah, that’s certainly a Guilty Gear game alright, with the signature anime inspired art style and heavy rock soundtrack that distinguishes the franchise from every other fighting game in the genre. Seriously though, it doesn’t seem like a reach to say that Guilty Gear’s graphics are some of the most visually stunning ever made, across any genre. God, this game looks beautiful. Beyond that, the gameplay appears pretty standard for the most part, though the super attacks look a little bit more cinematic on start-up than they have previously, and Dust seems to be back once again, allowing for plenty of damaging in-air combos.
The trailer ends with the reveal that May will also be a playable character in this instalment of Guilty Gear, with a new trailer set to debut during CEOtaku, which is set to take place during September 27th-29th in Orlando, Florida.
