During today’s Summer Game Fest showcase, NetherRealm Studios took to the stage to reveal the first look at gameplay footage for Mortal Kombat 1, the reboot of the franchise set to launch on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X & S and Nintendo Switch in September. The extended gameplay trailer revealed some story elements, with Fire God Liu Kang recruiting a host of champions from across this rebooted Earthrealm. These include Kung Lao, Sub-Zero and Scorpion (who are now brothers), Kenshi and Johnny Cage. Meanwhile, players can also select from a roster of Kameo Fighters, who will provide additional assists and moves during kombat, including Sonya, Kano, Goro, Jax and others.
Mortal Kombat 1 is launching on September 19th for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X & S and Nintendo Switch.
