Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered Arrives Next Month With Cross-Play

Those cops aren't going to outrun themselves.

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered

EA have officially announced that they will be releasing Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, an updated version of Criterion’s 10 year old classic, which will be launching on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 6th, with a Nintendo Switch release scheduled for November 13th. You can check out the official reveal trailer for yourself above.

What’s Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit?

Developed by Burnout creators Criterion, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit allowed players to take on both the role of street racer and cop, as you attempt to escape the police or shut down would-be racers. Players raced across the fictional Seacrest County, using the Autolog feature to keep track of track times across friends, leading to rivalries that the above trailer emulates.

So What’s Special About The Remaster?

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered sees the game running at 4K/60fps, with cross-platform multiplayer to boot, which is rapidly becoming an EA staple. On top of that, the package comes bundled with all main DLC packs “including an extra six hours of gameplay and more than 30 challenges”.

Players will also be able to unlock some new achievements, play around with more customisation options, enjoy the benefits of an updated photo mode, and experience various other quality of life benefits. For Need For Speed fans, Hot Pursuit Remastered might be an essential purchase, and it’s currently available to pre-order for £34.99 on Xbox One.
