EA Sports’ NBA Live 18 has its demo released on PS4 and Xbox One today ahead of a full release in September.
The demo will include The Rise, which is a prologue to The One: the Live franchise’s attempt at MyCareer. It promises to make your decisions mean something, which can also be carried over to the full version of the game – NBA Live 18 will be the first entry in the series to do this.
James Harden, the owner of arguably the finest beard in sport, is NBA Live 18’s cover star. Here’s what he had to say about his “starring” role:
“When I heard about working with EA SPORTS and being the cover athlete of NBA LIVE 18 I was pretty excited for the opportunity. NBA LIVE 18 is all about creating your own identity and making your mark on the league, and I can definitely relate to that. If anybody knows about creativity it’s me.”
The Live franchise has been the butt of many jokes for many years, mostly because it isn’t 2K. It has a lot to prove this time out, but you will be able to find out for yourself if its improvements can even hope to make a dent in its biggest rival’s popularity with the demo on Xbox One and PS4.
