Natalya Returns To NXT 2.0

For reasons.

Natalya made an unannounced, surprise return to NXT programming on last night’s episode of NXT 2.0. The former Women’s Champion received a warm reception from the NXT audience, when she interrupted fledging star, Cora Jade, in the middle of a promo.

The ring veteran spoke about how amazing it was to hear how she’s inspired the next generation, but naturally things soon turned into a villainous attack when Natalya dropped Jade with the Sharpshooter, setting up a future match between the two.

Natalya didn’t stop making friends there and then, as she was later featured backstage with Tatum Paxley, who also challenged ‘The BOAT’ to a match in the near future.

Nattie has previously been involved with NXT’s early days, competing against future WrestleMania headliner, Charlotte Flair, for the NXT Women’s Championship. She’s also a fantastic choice to put over some of the younger talent who are working their way up the card. Plus, the chance for any of these long-time WWE superstars suddenly deciding to make the jump to the multi-coloured NXT 2.0 adds an air of unpredictability to the show, something that’s been sorely lacking since the devolution of the Black and Gold brand.
