For fans of the My Hero Academia franchise, Bandai Namco and Byking have announced that there’s a new spin-off game on the way that’ll allow you to play as different characters in a brand new way. It’s called My Hero Ultra Rumble, and you can check out a trailer for the game at the top of the page.
My Hero Ultra Rumble is a free-to-play battle royale coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game sees 24 players in 8 teams of 3 compete to see who the best team is. Players can choose from a team of either heroes or villains and will fight on huge urban maps, obtaining powerful items along the way by either rescuing or intimidating civilians. If that sounds like fun to you, there’s a closed beta coming that’ll let you play around with the game before launch. Here’s everything you need to know.

Despite the fact that My Hero Ultra Rumble is slated to launch on multiple platforms, the upcoming closed beta test is only going to be available on PS4 (and PS5 via backwards compatibility).
My Hero Ultra Rumble: When Is The Closed Beta?
The closed beta for My Hero Ultra Rumble is actually split into two phases, which are as follows:
– Phase 1: Starts on 17th August at 7 pm PT/10 pm ET, and ends on 18th August at 3 am PT/6 am ET (3 am BST/4 am CEST to 11 am BST/12 pm CEST on 18th August)
– Phase 2: Starts on 18th August at 7 pm PT/10pm ET and ends on 21st August at 11 am PT/2pm ET (3 am BST/4 am CEST on 19th August to 7 am BST/ 8 am CEST on 22nd August)
