Morbius Teaser Trailer Makes Connection With the MCU

This teaser just proves that Jared Leto was born to play a vampire.

Morbius

Sony just released the trailer for Morbius, starring Jared Leto as the living vampire, who goes from weak and barely able to stand to ripped and muscly (be still my beating heart). The first image from the movie was leaked a few days ago, though some have supposed that Sony might have released it to create hype for the trailer. And excite comic book fans it did, since the leaked image looks exactly like the image of Morbius from the comic books.

The excitement continued with FandomWire’s reports of Morbius possibly being a part of the MCU, and that it will reference events in Spider-Man: Far From Home. This is certainly confirmed now since we see Michael Keaton’s Vulture at the end of trailer. This bodes well for the future as we seem to be working towards a Sinister Six scenario.

Morbius’ appearance was initially planned for the Blade sequel starring Wesley Snipes, but in the end, the character was written out of the first movie’s ending and only appears in a deleted scene. We got a sequel on the reapers instead. While we mourn what could have been, it seems like it worked out great for Morbius, since the Blade franchise made its descent after the sequel.

We will finally get to see Morbius make his big screen debut July 31, 2020.
