Minecraft Story Mode

Digital games, right? They’re the future, apparently. Anyway, following the closure of Telltale Games from last year, it’s been announced that Seasons 1 and 2 of Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Game Series are getting delisted across all platforms on the 25th June 2019, meaning you won’t be able to download or re-download those games or the individual chapters even if you’ve already purchased them. You better make sure you’ve got all those chapters before then.

The statement comes courtesy of the Official Minecraft website, who say the following: “On behalf of the publisher, Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series, Season 1 and 2 will no longer be supported on June 25th, 2019. If you have purchased these seasons, please download all remaining episodes prior to the service being discontinued in June.”

The full list of platforms that both seasons of Minecraft: Story Mode will be delisted from includes Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Android and iOS, which is a lot of platforms.

Of course, this isn’t the first delisting of a Telltale Game since its closure last year. Just like week, games like Tales from the Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us and Batman were removed from GOG, with that news prompted 2K Games to issue a statement to confirm that they’re working on bringing Tales from the Borderlands back as soon as possible.

The closure of Telltale Games last autumn is still sending ripples throughout the gaming industry that’s being felt to this day. Either way, make sure you don’t delete your collection.
