Microsoft have once again started teasing Age of Empires 4, which means we’ll be seeing something about the game during the X019 event taking place in London that kicks off tomorrow. Microsoft GM Aaron Greenberg tweeted out the below gif, along with the vaguely ominous “A new Age is upon us at #X019”.

Tomorrow is actually a significant day for the Age of Empires series anyway, as Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition will be launching, so it makes sense that we’d hear more about the future of the franchise during X019.
It’s likely that we’ll see Age of Empires as part of the Inside Xbox broadcast that’s kicking off tomorrow night at 8pm UK time, with other announcements expected to be made. Industry analyst Daniel Ahmad has stated that we should expect new IP reveals from Xbox Game Studios developers Rare and Obsidian, along with a host of other announcements.
