Michael Fassbender’s Assassin’s Creed Movie Shows Off New Photos

Assassin's Creed movie

It really looked like Ratchet & Clank would be the big screen video game adaptation of the year that would finally break the mould. After a negative reception, both at the box office and with critics, it looks like it’s falling to Michael Fassbender’s Assassin’s Creed to change the public opinion. No pressure.

Ahead of its release in December, 20th Century Fox have been showing off the film with some screenshots.

Assassin’s Creed will follow Callum Lynch (Fassbender) as he unlocks his genetic memories and becomes able to take the form of one of his ancestors, Aguilar, in 15th century Spain. Callum will discover his skills and gain knowledge as he joins the Assassins, helping him to be prepare against the Templars in the modern day. I only just realised how convoluted the entire plot of Assassin’s Creed is, how will the general public react?

Joining Fassbender are Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises, Inception), Michael K. Williams (The Wire), Jeremy Irons (The Borgias) and Brendan Gleeson (a lot of amazing movies). Justin Kurrzel (Macbeth) will be taking the director’s chair.

Assassin’s Creed will be released on December 21st.
