This month is a quietly packed one for new games, but if you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you can save yourself a few pennies by picking up the “free” titles of the month. You have to be paying a monthly free to get access to these games, but don’t worry about that.
Up first, Tales From the Borderlands is one of the most hilarious games ever made – don’t let some of the naysayers distract you from that. It’s totally worth the admission price for online gaming on its own, so delve into one of the best Telltale games while you can.
Elsewhere, Abzu is available for most while Alienation comes to European players. The former is the more unique effort, a laconic adventure through the sea that is going to relax you so much that you lose feeling in your limbs. Alienation is good, but it’s just Dead Nation with aliens instead of zombies. Housemarque know how to make a fine twin-stick shooter, though, so don’t fix what isn’t broken.
