Spider-Man fans, get ready to disappear for about 30 hours as today the much-anticipated Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 hits the shelves exclusively (for now) for the PS5. Also praise be that you can finally play it to avoid all the spoilers that seem to have been coming out forever.
Developed by Insomniac Games, Spider-Man 2 is expected to continue the thrilling narrative of the web-slinging hero, with players assuming the role of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. With the power of the next-gen console (which will probably definitely come to PC at some point), players can anticipate a seamless and visually stunning rendition of New York, which sadly might mean no more funny subway rides.

With its exclusive release on the PS5, Spider-Man 2 is poised to set a new standard for superhero gaming, while also probably being the biggest game of the year not named Tears of the Kingdom — Gollum juuust misses out from that conversation, sadly.
Will you be thwipping Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 into your basket this October, or are you gonna cry about it? We sadly won’t be reviewing this one, but we will likely be tuning into whatever J. Jonah Jameson has to say all the same. That, or will be so crippled by choice between this and Super Mario Bros. Wonder coming out that we will end up playing neither and just doom-scroll Twitter all day instead.
