Just like Firaxis’ other strategy games, Marvel’s Midnight Suns has a fair few difficulty options for you to help customise the challenge to what you see fit.

To change the difficulty in Marvel’s Midnight Suns, go to Settings > Options > General then select Choose Difficulty. You can do this at any time outside of combat.

There are eight different difficulty settings in Marvel’s Midnight Suns for you to choose from, though everything above Normal difficulty need to be unlocked. Here are all of the difficulty options in Midnight Suns:

– Story
– Normal
– Heroic I
– Heroic II
– Heroic III
– Ultimate I
– Ultimate II
– Ultimate III

Players can unlock new difficulties in Marvel’s Midnight Suns by completing missions and with higher stars, which you can accomplish by not getting any of your team KO’d and also by using as few turns as possible. If you’re not unlocking any newer difficulties, make sure to play on the highest difficulty available.

On higher difficulties, enemies get more health and offense, while you get less (or no) revives, though you do earn more gloss for cosmetics and XP.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X & S.
