Maneater Launching On Nintendo Switch This May

Shark attacks while you're on the beach.

Tripwire Interactive and Deep Silver have announced that Maneater, their incredibly enjoyable “SharkPG”, will be launching on the Nintendo Switch on May 25th, allowing players to simulate shark attacks while they’re at the beach, only without the lifeguard freaking out.

What’s Maneater All About?

Instead of preventing shark attacks, Maneater puts you in control of a killer shark as you seek revenge for the murder of your mother. As a shark, you’ll swim through the water, eating the local wildlife and humans besides in an attempt to grow stronger and stronger. Eventually, you’ll even unlock genetic mutations which allow you to improve the shark’s abilities in ridiculous ways. If you ever wanted to play as a shark that could conduct electricity, or teleport, Maneater is the game for you.

Maneater has been available on PS4, Xbox One and PC since last year, with PS5 and Xbox Series X | S optimisations if you happen to own one of the new consoles. We reviewed Maneater on the Xbox One, and while it’s a bit flawed, there’s a lot to enjoy with this game.

Maneater is a game that, for the most part, lives up to its potential, offering something a bit different than other games. While it could be regarded as something of a one-trick pony, it’s still a very good trick that you’ll enjoy while it lasts.
