LucidSound Reveal First Gaming Headset To Connect Directly To Xbox One and Project Scorpio

Xbox One headset

I have had a love/hate relationship with my Xbox One ever since I bought it. While it’s a fairly decent media center with some solid games, it’s full of little quirks and design choices that seem “off”.

One of the biggest design missteps is requiring an adapter to use almost any headset, so that’s an additional charge on top if you want to party up with friends.

To remedy that, LucidSound have just announced the first wireless gaming headset that will connect without the use of an adapter, cable, or anything.

The LS35X pairs directly to the Xbox One and also boasts 3D sound, which can be utilised on both Xbox One and Windows 10 – the latter is compatible with the LS35X through built-in Xbox technology on PC or via an adapter.

Speaking in a press release, Chris Von Huben, CEO of LucidSound, said the following:

“The LucidSound team has designed the LS35X as a headset for this generation of Xbox players with the most simplistic wireless capability to date. We believe the Xbox gamer will be blown away by the feature set and quality. This is just the beginning of our announcements for E3 in June and it only gets better.”

The headset will also be compatible with Xbox Scorpio.

Looks neat, so keep an eye out for it. Will be interesting to see how it works and how audio quality holds up when it’s actually on your head after it release sometime during the holiday period in 2017.
