Lost Outriders Gear Will Be Restored With “God Roll” Values

Back from the brink.

People Can Fly’s Outriders has had a bit of a strange launch, to say the least. While the game has been relatively successful, thanks in no small part to the game’s launch on Xbox Game Pass, a host of issues have plagued the game ever since, with one of the most pesky being an inventory wipe bug that deleted player’s gear. Thankfully, People Can Fly are issuing a fix.

How Are People Can Fly Fixing Outriders’ Inventory Bug?

People Can Fly have written up a post on Reddit, detailing how they’re going about fixing this bug: “Items granted will have the same attribute combinations but with god roll values. This means that these items will be at least the same if not better quality than the originally lost items. Items will be granted at the character’s highest available equip level taking World Tiers and Challenge Tiers into consideration.”

Basically, what this means is that players who lost gear when their World Tier was on 3, but have since levelled up and progressed through the World Tiers will now receive gear that’s in-line with their current state. It’s a decent way of rewarding those who have been afflicted with this glitch, but persevered anyway. Still, even if you dropped the game because of this glitch, you’ll still get that gear back. People Can Fly haven’t given a schedule for when this will be fixed by, but it’s an ASAP issue, and they’ve confirmed that players will also receive their community appreciation packages afterwards.

Where Can I Play Outriders?

Outriders is available right now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, and it’s available to play on Xbox through the Xbox Game Pass subscription. Outriders is also available on Stadia, which has had its own issues since launch, but People Can Fly will be issuing a separate patch next week to address it.
