ORIGINAL POST: It’s been talked about for the longest time, but during tonight’s State of Play, SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio confirmed that they will be bringing Like A Dragon: Ishin! to PS4 and PS5 in February 2023. Check out the announcement trailer at the top of the page.
Like A Dragon: Ishin! is the samurai spin-off of the popular Yakuza series that was previously released on PS3 in Japan back in 2014. The game never saw release outside of Japan, however, making it a highly sought after commodity. Now, RGG Studio and SEGA are rebuilding the game from the ground up for release worldwide. Ishin! tells the largely true tale of Sakamoto Ryoma, the historical figure who was credited with overthrowing the Japanese shogunate of the 19th century.
No details have been confirmed as of yet regarding if Like A Dragon: Ishin! will be making its way to other platforms, like PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X & S, but more details about the game will be revealed during the RGG Summit livestream, which is set to kick off at 9am BST.
