HDR, or High Dynamic Range, has become an integral part of AAA games these days, allowing players to push the visuals of their games that one step further with colours that really pop. Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is no exception, with the special attacks and visual flair really benefitting from those boosted colours.
Enabling HDR is a pretty simple process in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, as all you need to do is head over to the settings menu on the main menu, click Display Settings and then Enable HDR either on or off. If you turn the setting on, you can then tweak the brightness settings for HDR specifically too. If you can’t change this setting, it might be because you don’t have HDR actually enabled on your chosen platform.
On PlayStation 5, go to Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output > HDR. On PS4, go to Settings > Sound and Screen > Video Output Settings and then select Automatic.
On Xbox, go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options > Video modes, then select Allow 4K, Allow HDR10, and/or Allow Dolby Vision to enable HDR.
If you’re on PC, you can simply search HDR in the start bar if you’re on a more recent version of Windows, or go to Settings > Display > use HDR and then toggle it on that way.
If these settings are unavailable to you, or you’re still not able to enable HDR while playing Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, it might just be a case that your chosen TV/monitor doesn’t support HDR, or you need to also enable it in your display’s settings. Obviously, we can’t provide a tutorial for every single display known to man, but just make sure you have your remote handy to dig through the settings, just in case.
Enabling HDR may also affect the captures you take, leaving them washed out, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to take screenshots of every single silly moment in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth’s monumental runtime. Spoiler alert: there’s a lot of them.
