It wouldn’t be a Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s game without a cheeky little bit of shogi to pass the time, and their most recent game, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, is no exception. While playing regular shogi is quite the daunting task, Puzzle Shogi is a more digestable mode that lets you earn points to redeem on useful items and gear. If you were hoping for the same puzzles from Like A Dragon Gaiden, we regret to inform you there’s a whole new set of puzzles this time around, but fortunately for you, we have the solutions.
Puzzle 1 – Move the captured Gold General (located in the box at the bottom right hand corner of the screen) between your Pawn and the Enemy’s King.
Puzzle 2 – Move the captured Gold General to the box directly in front of the enemy’s King.
Puzzle 3 – Move to the captured Knight to the box on the right-hand side of your Bishop, just below your Silver General.
Puzzle 4 – Move your Silver General one space forward so that it is next to the Enemy’s Promoted Knight. DO NOT promote your Silver General.
Puzzle 5 – Move your right-hand Bishop from the bottom of the board four spaces diagonally up and to the left, lining up diagonally with the Enemy King.
Puzzle 6 – Turn 1) Move your Captured Silver General to the space at the top of the board, on the left of the Enemy’s Lance piece. This will cause the Enemy King to move to the space directly below your Silver General.
Turn 2) Move your Bishop one space up and to the right, placing it right next to the Enemy King.
Puzzle 7 – Turn 1) Move your Captured Rook to the top right-hand space on the board, right behind the Enemy King. This will force the King to capture the Rook.
Turn 2) Move your Knight to the only available space it can move. DO NOT promote it.
Puzzle 8 – Turn 1) Move your Bishop one space diagonally down and to the left, and promote the piece. This will force the Enemy King to move one space to the left.
Turn 2) Move your Lance unit one space forward and promote it.
Puzzle 9 – Turn 1) Move the Silver General that’s already on the board to the space above the Enemy King. This will force the Enemy King to capture this piece.
Turn 2) Move the captured Silver General to the space down and to the right of where the Enemy King now resides.
Puzzle 10 – Turn 1) Move your Rook one space to the right so that it’s above the Enemy King. This will force the Enemy King to capture your Rook.
Turn 2) Move your promoted Bishop diagonally down and to the right one space, next to the Enemy King.
