Last Chance for February 2024’s PlayStation Plus Essential Games

If, for some wild reason, you haven’t been able to access the PlayStation Store or your internet has possibly been hijacked by a bunch of advanced raccoons, you may not have added February’s PS Plus games to your library just yet. Time is running out, as it’s the last day you can add the following to your library.

Foamstars (PS4, PS5)
Set in the fictional Bath Vegas, participants compete in Foamsmash, a sport filled with foam that alters the terrain and dynamics of play. It’s basically a less interesting Splatoon.

Rollerdrome (PS4, PS5)
Set in the year 2030, it combines high-octane combat with fluid motion in a futuristic blood sport where players must entertain the masses by executing tricks and eliminating opponents. Bit of an underrated banger.

Steelrising (PS5)
Players navigate a steampunk Paris, taking on the role of Aegis, an automaton tasked with confronting King Louis XVI’s mechanical army. If you like FromSoftware’s games but miss a bit of Eurojank, this is the game for you. Only available on PS5! What a novelty.

Which PlayStation Plus Essential game stands out to you the most? I’d definitely recommend Rollerdrome the most for those who want a bit of Jet Set, a dash of THPS, and a heavy helping of Max Payne with a neat little dystopian bow.

PlayStation Plus Essential costs $9.99/£6.99 monthly, $24.99/£19.99 quarterly, or $79.99/£59.99 yearly. You need to be a subscriber to retain access to these games and also to play any premium-priced games on the PlayStation Network.
