Lara Croft Means Business In New Tomb Raider Stills

Although it’s being released in less than four months’ time, the marketing for next year’s Tomb Raider movie has been surprisingly sparse. Sure, we’ve had a trailer, and there was also that horrible poster that gave Lara an oddly deformed neck, but aside from that, there hasn’t been a whole lot to remind the general public that the film is just around the corner.

However, GamesRadar recently got their hands on a bunch of new stills, one of which shows Lara wielding a fierce looking bow and arrow, just as she did in the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot. Naturally, one of the other images also shows her raiding a tomb, although her twin pistols are nowhere in sight. Check out the full gallery below.

By the way, I don’t mean to sound like I’m beating a dead horse, but seriously, what the hell did they do to Lara’s neck in that damn poster? She looks like a velociraptor that wandered off the set of Jurassic World.

Tomb Raider is being directed by Roar Uthaug, and it stars Oscar-winner Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft, with the supporting cast including Kristin Scott Thomas, Dominic West, Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu, and Nick Frost. We’ll know if it becomes the first truly great video game movie when it arrives on March 16, 2018.
