A recent report from Rely on Horror suggested that Konami are working on ways to bring back both Silent Hill and Silent Hills, the ill-fated project helmed by Hideo Kojima, but Konami have now confirmed that the report isn’t true.

In a statement issued to Rely on Horror, a representative from Konami US said that: “We’re aware of all the rumors and reports but can confirm that they are not true. I know it’s not the answer your fans may want to hear. It’s not to say we are completely closing the door on the franchise, just not in the way it is being reported.”

While Konami are shooting down the current rumours, they’re not completely denying the possibility that Silent Hill will return in the future at some point. Whether or not there is actually any truth to rumours and reports remains to be seen, but I’m sure we’ll have answers eventually. Would you like to see Silent Hill return? Sound off in the comments.
