Killing Floor 2 Free On Epic Games Store For A Week, Cross-Play With Steam

First you take the cow to the killing floor!

Killing Floor 2

Killing Floor 2 will be launching on the Epic Games Store today, and Tripwire Interactive’s zombie murdering co-op game will be free until July 16th. Better still, the game will launch with a cross-play update that allows Epic Games Store and Steam players to play together. A patch will also be issued to Steam players to enable this feature.

In order to experience cross-play in Killing Floor 2, you’ll need to enable “Steam To EGS” invites when loading into the main menu. After that, you can sign in to your EGS account and you’ll then be able to play games with players across either storefront. This should mean you’ll have plenty of people to enjoy the most recent content update with, Perilous Plunder.

Killing Floor 2 isn’t the only game that’ll be free to claim on the Epic Games Store this week, as prison escape simulator The Escapists 2 and narrative adventure game Lifeless Planet: Premier Edition will also be free for the next week. Will you be claiming any of these three games? Sound off in the comments.
