Kenny Omega Signs With All Elite Wrestling

Who saw this coming? All of you? OK.

After months of speculation, the future of ‘The Best Bout Machine’ Kenny Omega has finally been revealed. During a rally in Las Vegas for All Elite Wrestling’s Double or Nothing event, Omega was revealed at the newest full-time member of the AEW roster. The Cleaner will be doing more than wrestling, however: an on-screen graphic referred to him as ‘Executive Vice President’, joining Cody and The Young Bucks in the role.

During a speech, Kenny stated that he had only just signed the contract for AEW and went on to thank the fans for making everything possible. He also said that “the cast and crew of AEW” would be able to show the fans exactly how they will “change the world”.

Before Kenny could say any more, Chris Jericho’s music hit and Y2J made his way down to the podium to meet Omega. The two stood face to face and a brawl ensued which had to be broken up. The brawl hints at a continuation of the duo’s rivalry from Wrestle Kingdom 12 with a follow up match at Double or Nothing.

While many will be disappointed that Kenny will not be making an appearance with WWE anytime soon, Omega’s position in AEW will make it easier for him to not only continue to entertain wrestling fans worldwide but to also do what he does best: Change the world.
