Former NXT Women’s Champion Kairi Sane will be making her return to the world of pro wrestling as part of the Stardom roster. The return of the ‘Pirate Princess’ was confirmed as part of a press conference held this morning, where the newly-dubbed KAIRI was slated to appear at Stardom’s Sumo Hall shows on the 26th and 27th of March.

This will be KAIRI’s first appearance for the all-women’s Japanese promotion since leaving for WWE five years ago. Before leaving, Kairi Sane was one of Stardom’s most successful performers, competing against the likes of Io Shirai in some of the show’s most watched matches. At the end of the conference, KAIRI was attacked by members of the Oedo Tai faction, confirming her return plans for the Tokyo shows.

Kairi left her in-ring career behind in July 2020, returning to her home country of Japan to act as an ambassador for WWE before being released from her contract in 2021. With several reports suggesting that Sane will be making an in-ring comeback, KAIRI now joins an impressive roster of female talent, ready to put together some incredible bouts and put the promotion back on the map.
