Just Cause 3 Headlines August 2017’s Free PS Plus Games

Just Cause 3

The winning streak continues for PlayStation Plus subscribers for August 2017 with a varied set of games coming for “free” next month.

The headlining act, however, must be Avalanche’s Just Cause 3: the open-world destruction simulator. It’s deeply flawed and has performance issues in abundance, but is still worth dipping into for a bit of cathartic cow-bothering.

Elsewhere, Assassin’s Creed standalone expansion Freedom Cry is going to scratch an itch until Origins comes around later this year. Even if it isn’t exactly overflowing with content compared to the main games and Black Flag would have doubtlessly been better received, it’s going to give you hours of distraction nonetheless.

That’s You, the first PlayLink game, is also still available for free to subscribers.

Here’s the rest of the list:

Super Motherload (PS3)
Snake Ball (PS3)
Downwell (PS Vita)
Level 22 (PS Vita)

For the first time in what seems like forever, these games will available for the entire month rather than a few days in. Pick them up from August 1st and let us know what you’re looking forward to most down below.

In other news, Just Cause 3 is free on Steam right now.
