Ivy & Zasalamel Joining The Soulcalibur VI Roster

Soulcalibur VI

If you thought our coverage from our hands-on with Soulcalibur VI wasn’t enough, then you thought wrong. Bandai Namco have announced that series favourites Ivy and Zasalamel will be joining the SCVI roster.

The trailer, which you can view for yourself with your eyes at the bottom of the page, showcases some gameplay for both characters. Both characters seem to retain some of their trademark moves and throws, but they’ve been given some new attacks for good measure. Ivy can now use her snake sword in a bow and arrow fashion, which is as ridiculous as it is awesome, whilst Zasalamel can now slow down time, even going so far as to stop it with his Critical Edge.

Ivy has been a mainstay in the Soulcalibur series since the original game, so her inclusion in the new game is to be expected. Zasalamel is a different story, as he’s only made appearances in Soulcalibur III and IV. With VI designed to be a soft reboot for the series, it’ll be interesting to see how the immortal, scythe wielding villain fits into the story. Yes, I play Soulcalibur and care about the story.

Make sure to check out the trailer, and let us know what characters you’d like to see in the future. I’m hoping for Maxi, but that’s just me. Also, have a read of our hands-on impressions for Soulcalibur VI.
