Introducing The WWE Thunderdome

"Us suffer bad. Want justice. We want Thunderdome!"

WWE have confirmed the new site for their productions going forward in what is now being coined ‘The Pandemic Era’, the WWE Thunderdome. Seemingly ripped right out of the third Mad Max film, the WWE Thunderdome will feature a set more becoming of their over-the-top programming with pyrotechnics, smoke, lightshows and more to bring the flash and flair back to RAW and SmackDown Live.

The WWE Thunderdome will reside within Orlando’s Amway Centre, a location often used by WWE for such events as the Hall of Fame. Fans will be virtually placed throughout the arena via live video across massive LED boards, taking another small step back towards the normality of live crowd reactions and interaction. Fans can register for a place in the Thunderdome by signing up at the following link. This truly is a huge step in the right direction for WWE, as ratings have increasingly plummeted since the removal of crowds and moving to the Performance Centre.

WWE EVP Kevin Dunn commented on the WWE Thunderdome, stating that:

This structure will enable us to deliver an immersive atmosphere and generate more excitement amongst the millions of fans watching our programming around the world.

Starting at this weekend’s huge SummerSlam pay-per-view, the WWE Thunderdome will be in action with the continued COVID testings and precautions taken throughout the tapings. This could be massive for the industry as a whole, with WWE leading the charge towards new innovations in these uncertain times. WWE spokespeople have already claimed that this will be bigger than WrestleMania in terms of magnificence.
