Start practicing your honk.

Untitled Goose Game has been generating a surprising amount of hype since it was announced last summer, and with the release date now only days away, developer House House have chosen the perfect time to release a hilarious new trailer for their strange bird simulator.

As you would probably have guessed from the title (or lack thereof), Untitled Goose Game has you playing as a goose as you engage in a wide variety of activities, including stealing people’s belongings when they aren’t looking, squirting people with hose pipes, and generally causing all sorts of mischief. You know, typical goose behaviour. Naturally, your mischievous antics do not go unnoticed by the human populace of the village where this game takes place, so you’ll have to be extra careful if you don’t want to be turned into a roast dinner.

Although the first letters in the words ‘Untitled Goose Game’ are capitalised, House House have stressed on Twitter that the game does not have an official title. Why they choose not to give their own game a title is beyond us, but Untitled Goose Game looks so damn fun that we’re not going to let this bizarre decision ruffle our feathers (sorry).

Sadly, Untitled Goose Game is not available for pre-order, so you’ll just have to purchase it when it releases on September 20 if you want to give it a go. It will be available on PC and Nintendo Switch, and the PC version will be a timed Epic Store exclusive before it arrives on Steam. Regardless of your preferred platform, however, we have a feeling that Untitled Goose Game will develop a cult following over the years, so we think it will definitely be worth playing. Because where else can you sneak up on an unsuspecting farmer and loudly honk in his face?
