Square Enix have announced that the final episode of Hitman’s first season will launch on October 31st and take place in Hokkaido, Japan.
The mission, titled ‘Situs Inversus’ will task Agent 47 with infiltrating the “hyper-exclusive GAMA private hospital and resort.”
Square Enix says that “this secluded facility is a fusion of Japanese beauty and cutting-edge technology, featuring its own Zen gardens, organic sushi restaurant and traditional Japanese hot spring. Agent 47 must locate two targets in this climactic Season Finale.” It will be “the culmination of everything players will have learnt in terms of both gameplay and story.”
This exciting announcement must be very satisfying for all the folks at both Square Enix and Io-Interactive, who bravely made the decision to go down the episodic route for their latest Hitman title. They have delivered on everything that they promised, and this will be the seventh episode in as many months, meaning that they have stuck to their initial promise of delivering the game to players in timely fashion. Well done to everyone involved.
There will also be one more bonus episode, titled Landslide, but the location and release date have yet to be revealed.
