High-Rise Invasion

High-Rise Invasion is a 2021 horror anime adapted from a manga that came out in 2013. It tells the tale of a girl named Yuri who mysteriously gets transported to a realm filled with high-rise skyscrapers, the High-Rise realm. She must find a way to survive in this dimension as bloodthirsty murderers try to hunt her down. She must also find her brother, who is trapped somewhere in the realm.

The first season ended on a cliffhanger and finished without Yuri even accomplishing her goal of finding Rika. Fans are eager to learn how the story concludes, so when is High-Rise Invasion: Season 2 coming out?

When Is High-Rise Invasion: Season 2 Being Released?

Sadly, High-Rise Invasion: Season 2 has not been renewed yet. The plot of the show is far from over, so hopefully, Netflix decides to renew it sometime soon. The show also did pretty well internationally, which is a factor that might give Netflix the push it needs to green-light a second season.

What Would High-Rise Invasion: Season 2 Be About?

The first season of High-Rise Invasion concluded in Chapter 149 of the manga. The High-Rise Invasion manga only lasts 258 chapters, meaning a second season would only cover 109 chapters. However, the series did get a sequel called High-Rise Invasion Arrive, which the anime could also dive into.

Chapter 150 onwards will continue Yuri’s journey through the High-Rise realm, which leads to her fateful confrontation against Aikawa. She must defeat him to finally save Rika.

They will then need to go on and defeat the other God Candidates after Ailkawa.

Fans can also expect to see some development between Sniper Mask and Kuon’s relationship, which started blooming in the first season.

Which Studio Could Make High-Rise Invasion: Season 2?

If High-Rise Invasion: Season 2 ever gets approved, who will be producing and animating it? No one can say for certain, but the top contenders are the teams that made the first season. Kodansha and Netflix co-produced Season 1, while Zero-G is the studio that animated it.

Kodansha was established in 1909 and quickly rose to the top of the anime industry. Several of the anime they’ve produced have hit the mainstream, like Attack On Titan, Noragami, and Your Lie In April.

Aside from being a massive streaming platform, Netflix has expanded its reach to producing shows instead of just streaming them. They started producing anime sometime in the late 2010s and have released a couple of hits. Netflix produced Devilman Crybaby, Baki Hanma, and Aggressive Retsuko.

Zero-G started in 2011 and isn’t exactly that well-known compared to the two companies listed above. They have animated some well-liked shows though, like Grand Blue, Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It, and Tsugumomo.

Where To Watch High-Rise Invasion

Considering High-Rise Invasion is co-produced by Netflix, it makes sense that it’s a Netflix exclusive. Even though High-Rise Invasion: Season 2 hasn’t been renewed yet, it would most likely be a Netflix exclusive as well.

If the show is region-blocked in your area, use a VPN to bypass it. Simply change your IP address to a different location and see if the show is available now.
