WWE waited long enough to pull the trigger on reviving Matt Hardy’s wonderful and captivating gimmick and now it seems they’re going to go to extreme lengths to get it over.
On Sunday morning, the official WWE YouTube account posted perhaps their most curious and bizarre video to date.
While it doesn’t exactly compare to the insanity of The Final Deletion – and WWE absolutely will not hand over the reins an entire broadcast as Impact Wrestling did with Total Nonstop Deletion – it’s an indication that Vince and Co are willing to play it for laughs themselves.
Although WWE’s efforts can be commended, it’s typical for the company to gatecrash a meme party long after the guests have filed out and gone home with the 10+ hour video format having peaked around 2011/12.
With a feud with jobber to the stars Bray Wyatt on the horizon, there may well be more oddness on the way.
