Kong: Skull Island is set to be one of next year’s tent pole blockbusters (that probably cost too much to make). At a price tag of $190 million it’s going to need a lot of us to go see it to make that back. With this in mind, Warner Bros have revealed the new look of King Kong early via Entertainment Weekly. Take a good look.

Yep, that’s Kong alright. We won’t really know how good the CGI is until we see him in some moving pictures, but for now he looks suitably annoyed. And let’s face it, it’s usually the annoying humans he’s annoyed with.

Speaking of humans, a story-focused trailer was released earlier this year at Comic Con and there’s a pretty solid cast here. Brie Larson (Room, also recently cast as lead in the upcoming Captain  Marvel) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki in Thor) lead the ensemble alongside Samuel L. Jackson and John Goodman. For those of us lukewarm on old Kong after the Peter Jackson version, it might be enough to tease us back.

Anyway, if you missed it when it first came out, here’s that Comic Con trailer. For your viewing pleasure:
