343 Industries have announced that Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition will be getting a PC beta next month, following on from the incredibly successful launch on Halo: Reach and the Master Chief Collection last month.

The developers have posted on their forum page that they’ll be testing the PC build later this month with a select group of external partners, before rolling out the beta to a wider audience in early February. In order to test the early build, you will need to sign up on Halo Insider, which you can do right here.

As for what content will be available for testing as part of the PC build, 343 will be looking for feedback on dedicated servers, peer-to-peer connections, cross-play between Steam and Windows, UI customisation and more. There will also be select campaign missions and multiplayer modes available to play.

No word yet on when Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition is scheduled to launch for PC, but expect at least a month or so of testing before it’s available to the wider public. After that, expect Halo 2, 3, ODST and 4 to join the PC version of The Master Chief Collection in the following months. Are you excited? Let us know in the comments.
