H1Z1 On PS4 Reaches 10 Million Downloads

H1z1

I wrote recently in a piece about the best stealth games that battle royale titles, just like stealth games themselves, are just a trend in the industry that will peak before slowly fading away. Judging from the downloads of H1Z1 on PS4, it’s going to keep peaking and peaking with 10 million players having tried out the battle royale since its launch, Daybreak Games has announced.

The game launched into “Open Beta” on May 22nd, which just makes this feat more impressive. It was rampant in the download charts for PS4 following launch, going on to snag 1.5 million players within 24 hours and 200,000 concurrent players at one point. It reached 4.5 million players just three days after launch.

Here is a lovely infographic (as someone with an SEO background, I am usually allergic to these) from Daybreak Games to crunch the numbers of H1Z1’s success:

Having played the game during its busy launch window, I had a great time, though I have been distracted by other games and haven’t had much a chance to dip back in. How about you? Loving H1Z1? Let us know in the comments.
