Bandai Namco and Arc System Works have announced that Guilty Gear Strive, the upcoming next instalment of the long-running fighting game series, will be receiving an open beta ahead of the full game’s launch on PC, PS4 and PS5 on April 9th, or April 6th if you’ve picked up the Ultimate or Deluxe Editions of the game.

When Is The Guilty Gear Open Beta?

The open beta is only available to PS4 and PS5 players, and will kick off on February 18th at 10pm EST, which translates to 3am GMT the following day. The beta will then conclude on February 21st at 10am EST, or 3pm GMT. However, if you’ve pre-ordered the game digitally, you’ll be able to play the beta a full 24 hours earlier.

What Features Will The Beta Include?

The open beta for Guilty Gear Strive will include a bunch of modes, including a tutorial, full training and versus mode, along with a Network mode that’ll allow players to compete against each other online. The beta will also include 13 playable characters, with two more being reserved until launch day. You’ll need to have an online connection in order to play the beta, but you won’t require PS Plus.
